Tonight and Tomorrow - August 16

Tonight a toad visited our room, Heather preformed first aid on a really small baby gecko. Just a typical night of entertainment for the Hyland's.

After finishing Jeff's birthday last night with a 5 star dinner of peanut butter jelly in our room (we were all so tired, it was to much effort and to far to go out a meal). Besides we had a 7:00am breakfast call the next morning to meet the famous Buttercup.

Crazy Costa Rician drivers.  They are crazy nuts here when they drive. They drive to fast on two lane roads (90% of the roads here are 2-lane or dirt) and there are no places for slower moving traffic to turn out or over. Everyone is trying to pass 3 or 4 cars and a couple of semi trucks at the same time.  You would think after experiencing the crazy driving in Haiti twice I would be used to it. Costa Rica wins the award for crazy. I am starting to think all that traffic I can't stand at home is a not so bad.

Blessed today that our dive from the Caribbean to the Pacific in one day, which we thought would be 10 hours, only took us 7 with stops... We saw plenty of crazy drivers and got to meet the local police and pay them off with a bribe.   Yes, that still happens.

We are in monte verde safely... More to follow.  Just a few minutes to post something on the internet.
