When Jeff lived here in Monteverde (which translates to Green Mountain) he took in and adopted a scrappy little Companion dog he need Cheddar. Jeff introduced her to the butterfly garden. Even when he used to call home to check in with Rich and I from CR, we would hear about Cheddar. When he returned to the states and told stories they usually included Cheddar. He never expected to see Cheddar again.
Here they are reunited at the butterfly garden 8 years later. This poor girl has had a hard life and could tell you hundreds of stories. Someone should make a movie about her life and adventures. Dogs are not treated like they are in the US. This encounter made my heart sing... Happy to meet cheddar.
When we came back to hike a few days later around the garden she came to the car to greet us..
Finally getting around to posting this story that was started 10 days ago. Just had to share this sweet moment from vacation.
